About Teak & Marble Atelier

Teak & Marble Atelier is a luxury home-wellness curator specializing in high-quality indoor and outdoor saunas, cold plunges, outdoor showers, and complete Fire & Ice contrast-therapy environments. We are not a catalogue. We compose the environment around how a client lives, and we stay with them for the life of the equipment.

What an atelier means here

An atelier is a workshop — a place where expertise, curation, and bespoke work are the product, and where the relationship outlasts the transaction. That is a deliberate choice of word.

Most of this category sells appliances. A manufacturer sells its own plunge; a retailer sends a catalogue and leaves the buyer to work it out. Neither approach helps someone deciding what belongs in their home, how it fits the space they actually have, or how the pieces work together.

We work the other way around. We start with how a client lives — the space, the climate, the household, what they need and want, and the routine they intend to keep in five years — and compose a complete oasis from equipment we have vetted. Then we teach them to own it, and to maintain it for optimum performance every time. The education library, the Owner's Guides, and the concierge relationship are not marketing around the sale; they are the substance of what we provide, and the reason we formed this company.

How we source

We are a curated house, not a manufacturer. That is a strength rather than a caveat: it means we are free to specify the right equipment for a client rather than the equipment we happen to make.

Our supply relationships are cultivated deliberately and reviewed against the standard below. They currently include Orivon Wellness, Avantikül, and Pulse ShowerSpas. Each is a formal dealer agreement, not a drop-in listing.

What we look for

The standard is whether a piece holds its specification in real use. For a cold plunge, that means chiller capacity sufficient to recover between sessions, insulation that limits drift under body heat, and a thermostat whose reading corresponds to the water. For a sauna, it means heater sizing, ventilation design, and timber that behaves over years rather than seasons.

Equipment that photographs well but cannot hold a specification does not enter the collection.

How we work with clients

Concierge consultation

Every acquisition begins with a conversation rather than a cart. We ask about space, site readiness, electrical service, who in the household will use the equipment, and what routine the client is building toward. Those answers determine the specification.

Planning tools

Our Wellness Configurator and Does It Fit planning tool let clients test placement, scale, and site requirements against their actual space before anything is ordered — including what would be needed to bring a space up to specification, such as an electrical upgrade, and a step-by-step delivery preparation sequence.

Education

Our education library covers selection, installation planning, protocols, water chemistry, maintenance, and winterization. Every claim we publish is traced to a verified published source. Where evidence is weak or absent, we say so.

Delivery and installation

White-glove delivery is available as an option on eligible pieces, and we coordinate site preparation guidance ahead of arrival. We provide estimated delivery windows for every piece in our collections. Because each is built to order rather than pulled from stock, windows vary — currently three to fourteen weeks, as published in our shipping policy, which governs. Your concierge confirms yours shortly after order and stays with you through delivery.

Our cold plunges and saunas are designed for self-installation. No plumbing or structural work is required — what matters is a level surface able to carry the weight, correct clearances, and proximity to the electrical supply specified for that piece. We do not arrange electrical work or installation at the home. The Does It Fit tool sets out every task that should be completed before your delivery date, so the piece can be sited and commissioned without friction when it arrives.

Who we serve

We ship throughout the contiguous 48 states, and consider international shipments on a case-by-case basis.

Our depth is in the Northeast. As a Delaware company with a presence in New York — and as lifetime residents of the New England and Mid-Atlantic region — we understand what these conditions ask of an installation: harsh winters that test an outdoor cabinet, hot and humid summers that punish poor ventilation, and the particular architecture and backyard proportions of the region. A cedar sauna sited for a Connecticut winter is a different specification than one sited for a mild climate, and a cold plunge that will run through February needs to be planned for it in August.

That is knowledge we bring to every consultation, wherever the piece is going.

Leadership

Teak & Marble Atelier was founded in April 2026 by Gregg H. Grossman, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Dan Jacobs, Chief Technology Officer.

I first used cold immersion in the early 1990s as a quarter-miler running 47.7 — an ice bath was simply what you did when the next race was three days out. I found sauna at twenty, living and working in Europe, where an hour of heat at the end of a day spent thinking in a language I hadn't yet mastered was what made the next day possible. For years afterward I paid for gym memberships I didn't otherwise want, chasing that same restoration through inconsistent heat and crowded rooms, and never found it again.

The name is not decoration. I have watched another industry I work in give way to machine production and synthetic substitutes — a race to the bottom that took the craft out of the product and the pride out of the work. An atelier is a workshop where the standard is the work itself: do it properly or don't do it at all. That is what we source for, and what we intend to be.
